A simple copper jug served as the starting point for this painting. Rather than depicting the object alone, I wanted to capture the play of light and reflection across its warm copper surface. The highlights, shifting tones, and subtle reflections constantly transform the vessel, giving it an almost living presence. Set against a deep green background, the warmth of the copper is allowed to shine, turning an everyday object into a study of light, colour, and quiet beauty.
