Rather than depicting the object alone, I wanted to capture the play of light and reflection across its warm copper surface. The highlights, shifting tones, and subtle reflections constantly transform the vessel, giving it an almost living presence. Set against a deep green background, the warmth of the copper is allowed to shine, turning an everyday object into a study of light, colour, and quiet beauty.

The burning candle symbolizes a life that brought light and whose warmth continues to live on in the memories of those left behind. The butterfly, a cherished symbol of transformation and enduring presence, reflects her love of butterflies, while the soft shades of purple recall her favourite colour. Together, these elements form a quiet tribute to a precious life that has passed, yet remains deeply remembered.
